Hi Conny
Seems we've talked before in the past.Reading your conversation with Pat Ihad to put my 2 cents worth in.
Encyclopedia Britannica---
The Mayflower sailed from Southampton, Eng accompanied by a smaller vessel, the Speedwell, which had brought some of the group from Holland. The ships were twice forced to return to port, to Dartmouth the first time and to Plymouth the second time. The Speedwell, leaking badly was deemed unseaworthy and the Mayflower sailed alone from Plymouth after taking on some of the smaller vessel's provisions and passengers.
