Are you a descendant of Cicero Rape? If not let me know what connection you are to Cicero. If you are a descendant of him I would like to hear from you. I know Cicero was a son of Thomas Jackson Rape and Rachel Fugate. Thomas Jackson Rape was son of Archibald Rape and Mary Hancock. Archibald Rape was the first born son of John Rape born about 1791 in then Mecklenburg County (now Union) North Carolina and his wife Milly Forbes Rape. John Rape was a son of Peter Rape who was born 21 May 1759 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and baptized there as Johann Peter REEB which is pronounced to sound the same as Rape due to the German e pronounced like A and the German b interchangeable with P. Johann Peter REEB aka Peter Rape was son of Johann Peter REEB who immigrated from Pisdorf, Nassau-Saarwerden (owned by German Counts of Nassau. This is now part of Bas-Rhin, a department (or state of France) which put it in the same region as the German Elsass and Lothringen more commonly known to Americans as Alsace and Lorraine. The Reeb family has a history going back at least until 1523 when a Hans Reeb left his home village of Rech in Lothringen and crossed the Sarre River into Keskastel. If you are a Rape descendant and if you are interested in your family history I will be happy to hear from you. John V. Reeb
