Aberham Redburn sons participation in the Civil War was note worthy. Of Aberhams first five children all were sons. William the first born was the one who stayed home and work the family farm.The other four sons all fought in the Civil War. Two of them did not live to return home. These two men who died were Casey and Ellis Redburn. Most of these men enlisted into the Illinois State infantry
as a privet and finished as a privet. all except Eliaha H. Redburn he finished as a First Sergent in Co. "G' 60th Illinois Inf.. Elishas younger brother Thomas A. Redburnboth served in the same unite.Thomas A. Redburn must have out lived them all he did not die untill 1931. I shall list these men by there age with the oldest Redburn first.
