Wow!! With The help of a few people here I have been able to trace my family line right up to James Redden and Margaret Lawrence.

My Gr Grandfather Archibald Gunn Redden (it was the Gr Grandchild of his brother that was able to help me) was the son of Samuel Redden and his second wife Ruth Cochran.

Samuel was the 8th son of Thomas Redden and Hannah Boyd (incedently they had 2 children named Thomas and Hannah as well).

Thomas Redden was the 4th child of James Redden and Margaret Lawrence
