I am a descendant of the same James & Martha.I have some old notes, photocopied & handwritten, so are a bit hard to read but are as follows:
James Redden Sr. born in Dublin, Ireland in 1759, came to ?(can't read this word but might say Halifax?) in 1775 at age of 16.From thre he moved to Wind Forks ?(another word I can't read) Co. He married in 1798 to Margret Lawrence and died in 1819.Children:
John 1798
Thomas 1801
Harry 1803
Mary 1805
Patrick 1807 came to Horton 1840 and had a family, one of his sons being Rufus Redden.
Hannah 1809
Robert 1811 came to Horton 1850 and settled in New Minas, where his family were well known.

That's all I have, other than a picture of my great grandparents, Ralph Redden and Lucy Schofield.They are parents to my Grandmother, Sarah (Sadie) Redden (1909-1995), who married Elmer Blower. Not sure who Ralph's parents are?
