Follies Girl Marries Theodore D. Buhl, Nephew of Florenz Ziegfeld

Anastasia Reilly, New York show girl who has appeared in several Ziegfeld productions, including the Follies, was married yesterday afternoon to Theodore D. Buhl, son of Willis E. Buhl, a Detroit manufacturer.The ceremony was performed in the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Minot C. Morgan. The bride was given away by her mother, Mrs. H.E.Reilly.Miss Ina Williams, also a show girl, was the maid of honor.William Comins of Stafford Springs, Conn., was the best man.
Those in the church and at the reception afterward at Sherry's were principally chorus girls, most of them from Ziefgeld's productions.Among them were Miss Hazel Webb Donovan, Miss Loraine Webb, Miss Dorothy Brown and Miss Elsie Behrens.Florenz Ziegfeld who is an uncle of the bridegroom was also present.

(AP).- Anastasia Reilly Buhl, 58, a Brooklyn girl who rose to stardom in the Ziegfeld Follies, died today at her home here.She gave up her stage career for marriage in 1927 and assumed the life of a society matron.


Does anyone have any information concerning Anastasia Reilly?I know she is somehow related to my family and have some information but have not put all the pieces together yet. ( My grandparents saved some newspaper articles and made some diary entries concerning her and her mother "Hattie".)Need information on her parents, grandparents....if she had siblings, etc.Hoping I can unlock some of my family's genealogy mysteries with this information.
