Is Buried Here Sunday
Funeral services were held from the Robillard chapel here Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Adelaide Kien, wife of Edward T. Kien, who passed away Tuesday of last week in a Brownsville, Texas, hospital. The Rev. Fred Harrison conducted the services, and intermnt was made in Elm Lawn cemetery.
The Kiens formerly lived in Elmhurst, from 1912 to 1931, Mr. Kien engaging in the plumbing business here. Nine years ago they moved to Texas, purchasing a ranch there.
Mrs. Kien, who was 69 years old, died of a heart ailment, following a long illness. She was born in Cicinnati, Ohio.
Surviving her besides her widower, is a sister, Mary Rowland, Springfield, Ohio. She also leaves three brothers, Adolph, Albert and the Rev. Edward Reiner, all of Chicago. A daughter, Edith Adelaide Lewis, passed away in 1920. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
