MRS. ELIZABETH REISING
JANUARY 13, 1911
Mrs. Elizabeth Reising, relict of Peter Reising, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Haley, in Chicago, on Thursday (Jan.12) morning, death being the result of heart disease. Since the death of her husband nearly three years ago, Mrs. Reising resided in her little home in the north part of town, but the past two winters she has spent with her daughter in Chicago.
Elizabeth Rossman was a native of Aschaffenburg, Bavaria, Germany, where she was born February 8, 1836. She came to the United States in 1854 and was united in marriage with Peter A. Reising on August 22, 1854. In 1891 they moved to Chatsworth from Ford county and continued to make this village their home until Mr. Reising's death. They were the parents of ten children, one of whom, Louise, died in infancy. Those surviving are: Kate Holefelder, of Chicago; Frank, residing southeast of Chatsworth; Mrs. Mary Burger, of Crescent City; Peter, of Fairbanks, Iowa; George A., residing on a farm southeast of Chatsworth; Anna Rosenburger, of Strawn; Gertrude Haley, of Chicago; Ida Herr, and Edward, of Chicago.
The remains will arrive here this Friday evening and the funeral services will take place at SS. Peter and Paul's church on Saturday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. W.J. Burke officiating. The remains will be interred at St. Patrick's cemetery beside those of Mr. Reising.
