MRS. MICHAEL (MARGARET PFARR) REISING
JANAURY 15, 1909
The death of Mrs. Michael Reising, which occurred this (Friday) morning sometime between midnight and six o'clock at the Reising home, was a great shock to the relatives and friends, as but few outside the immediate friends were aware that Mrs. Reising's condition was of a critical nature, and those who had been administering to her wants during the past two weeks she had been confined to her bed, did not realize that the end was so near. For about four or five years she had been afflicted with heart trouble, which was the cause of her death.
Margaret Pfarr was born in Claremount county, Ohio, in September, 1841. She was married in 1860 in Woodford county, Illinois, to Michael Reising, and had she survived one year and nine days the couple would have celebrated their golden wedding. In the year 1873 they came to Chatsworth and Mr. Reising engaged in the grocery business. About two years later Mrs. Reising embarked in the millinery business, which she continued, with the exception of about four years, when her health compelled her to rest, until her husband sold out his business about two years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Reising were never blessed with any children, but one adopted son, Joseph, of Peoria, with the husband survives. Mrs. Reising is also survived by one brother and two sisters -- John Pfarr, Mrs. Kate Russell and Mrs. Mary Cline, all residents of Claremont county, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at SS. Peter and Paul's church on Monday morning at ten o'clock and the interment will be at St. Patrick's cemetery.
