I am also looking for Christian Reiss, with wife Catherine.Their son,John S. Reiss born 1831 in Germany married Christina Kochendoerfer (also shown as Kochenderfer and Kokenderfer) They both died in Columbus, Ohio.John S. Reiss died 1839 and Christina died 1916.I am a Kochendrfer.My Kochendorfers (later Kochendeerfer) came from Hordt, Rheinland Pfalz, Germany in 1837.We have not found Christina on any of our records, so I'm hoping I can find out her Kochendoerfer roots. Id appreciate any help.
I do know that most Kochendoerfers came from Wuerttemberg.
