Reusser = Risser ?????
Greetings from Indianapolis.
I am researching my Reusser ancestors in Switzerland, I think from Steffisburg. Following is a quote from Dr Torsetn Eymann, from the "Institut fuer Informatik und Gesellschaft" in Freiburg: "We think that your surname Reusser is our Risser".
Have any of you ever looked into this, or known about this, or seen any pro's or con's about this? So far, my earliest known Reusser ancestor is Niclaus, born 1495.
Thanks ahead of time for any input on this, and please feel free to email me privately,
PS: I have posted this on the Risser site also.
