Hello James,
I fear that there are two particular errors in your summary.
At present I do not think it is possible to ientify siblings of the Thomas Revell who died in 1556.I suspect that you are confusing Thomases from previous generations.Thomas and Elizabeth had three further daughters, Dorothy, Ellen and Alice.
Roland son of Gregory (grandson of Thomas) is Rowland of Cold Aston, Derbyshire, not the Rowland who married Elizabeth Percy.Rowland of Cold Aston probably married a Katherine who was buried at Chesterfield.
The Revells of Dronfield are a mixture of Yorkshire Revells and very probably Derbyshire Revells, and take some getting to grips with.
I strongly suggest that you look at the document that Susie Odell, Sue Dauris and and I have produced and loaded to Rotherham Web as this will give you direct access to the several hundred pertinent electronic sources that we have used.Alternatively I could send you the latest version to which some additions have been made, but this is not yet ready for loading to the web.
As a research chemist I share your preference of starting with the raw data and drawing your own conclusions independently, but I must warn you that it took us the best part of two years to assemble this document.
You might perhaps find errors in what we have assembled, or be able to fill in some gaps, but it would be better to test critically our conclusions than going off at a tangent that is certainly incorrect.
I will start forwarding to you this weekend pdf files of some of the Wills that Susie has collected.
