Gabriel has several children in the St. Patrick’s records. Some of these descendents took Bernard as a last name as it was Bernard dit LaRiviere. This family also had branches move to Minnesota in 1862. I see that Bill Tomeko listed Joseph and Adam ( that would be André) in his note on Genforum.
As well, I recently had a note from Mel Lavier, who is a Rivier descendent through his father John B. LeVier m. Clelestine Paquet (Perkins), and his grandfather John Baptist LeVier. Maybe you have a connection for him?
If you think that you can hook up with any one of these lines let me know, as I do have more generations back.
