Hi Alan - I've recently written to your brother Mark (known as Christopher I believe?) about all this family stuff - waiting for a reply!
A long route: your aunt Kitty visited Australia in the late 80s (!) to stay with her daughter Anne and contacted my brother in NSW about family connections. My brother recently gave me Kitty's letter (in which she mentions your father and "one of his seven sons who is interested in family history") and this has helped motivate me to take up the family research challenge. By using Michael R's 'genealogical essay' and his trees of 1992 I've started contacting lots of different Revingtons. Also I've just found this forum, which could be something of a breakthrough! (If you're interested there's a bit more info here: http://www.genealogy.com/users/r/e/v/John-Revington/http://www.genealogy.com/users/r/e/v/John-Revington/ )
If you'd like a printed copy of Michael's essay and the trees I'll send you one with pleasure.
