Hello. Thank you for responding... I have the following as also being the children of your PROCOPIO and Felicita Reyes grandparents: Tomas, Jesusa, Miterio, Santiago, Loreta, Fabian... Based on family oral history, I believe PROCOPIO REYES was related to an ESTANISLADO REYES from Charlotte, Atascosa County, Texas and to a PEDRO REYES from Von Ormy, Bexar County, Texas, as well as to grandfather PATRICIO REYES (who died in 1931 and is buried at St Joseph Cemetery outside of Leming, Texas... PATRICIO REYES was the son of JESUS REYES -- they were born in the state of Durango, Mexico, and from there grandfather PATRICIO REYES and some of his siblings moved toGomez Palacio; Torreon; Lerdo; Parras; Monterrey; and then to Atascosa County and other area counties... I have been trying to find more exact connections to the people named above -- from grandfather PATRICIOI REYES and great grandfather JESUS REYES to PROCOPIO REYES, ESTANISLADO REYES, and PEDRO RETES... If you know of older relatives who might have more historical info from further back, I would really appreciate if you were able to check with them to see if they know if PROCOPIO was born in Durango, Mexico (and in what town, city or Municipio) -- if they know too who might have been his parents... If that info would be known, more connections between the mentioned REYES lines would become more apparent and lineage further back could be found... You can write me via this forum (or via my email address -- when I was younger I did not write down all the info my REYESmother mentioned, and so many holes exist as to how the REYES in Atascosa County I have mentioned are connected... Hopefully little by little the holes can be filled... Take care.
