Larkin and Sarah Rees Reynolds were married prior to an 1807 deed in Fairfield Co OH (F:201). Thomas Rees of Fairfield Co OH shared his reminiscences with the Fairfield County history -- his earliest memory was of his father's sister marrying Larkin ----. The estate deeds, etc of Thomas Rees who died in 1812 list his daughter who married Larkin Reynolds. On page 279 in Scott's History of Fairfield County, Ohio, there is a Statement of Thomas Reece, of Hocking Township: "The first wedding I saw in the new settlement was Sally Reece, a sister of my father, to Larken _____, and the first funeral I can remember to have witnessed was that of Nancy Hunter." Fairfield County, Ohio deed N:80 lists Sarah and Larkin as residents of Clinton County, Ohio by February 8, 1813. Apparently they left Fairfield County after an 1811 record and prior to the deed listing them in Clinton County. By 1820 they had left Ohio [1820 Ohio Eagle, Fairfield Co, OH]. I have located 'Larkin Reynolds' in Wayne Co, Indiana in 1820 & 1830. This appears to be the right Larkin Reynolds. In 1822 Larkin was recorded as a resident of Martinville, Morgan County, Indiana. In 1827 and 1828 larkin and Sarah sold land in Morgan County. There is also a Larkin in the 1850 census of Morgan County, Indiana. On October 5, 1848 a Larkin Reynolds married Mary Jane Worley in Monroe County, Indiana. In 1853, Larkin and Mary Jane Reynolds sold land in Martinsville, Indiana to Joshua J. Borrick (?) [is this the same Larkin??his son?? who??]. I wish to learn if Larkin and Sarah Rees Reynolds had children, if so, their names and those of descendants. It is unfortunate that there were numerous individuals named Larkin Reynolds.
