Chas Reynolds,1st.Lt.VCR,1865,Civil War
When reviewing civil war documents from the National Archives for my relative David Reynolds who died at Annapolis, Md. March 17th, 1865, I came across the name of Chas Reynolds, who signed the documents as 1st. Lieu't. V.C.R., Recorder. This was the site of the U.S. Army General Hospital, Division No. 1., Annapolis, Md.. Chas was in charge of collecting and selling the effects (clothing) of the dead.
