1/23/02 - Richards, Bradley A., age 48, of Montclair, NJ, died Sunday Jan. 20, 2002 at home. Born in Mpls. Beloved husband of Kathryn Anderson Richards; and loving father of Alyse, Sydney and Faith. Son of Barbara Richards of Mpls., MN; 2 sisters, Beth Powell & Barbara Jeffers & 1 brother, Jeff Richards, all of Mpls., MN. Mr. Richards, formerly of Mpls. himself, was a graduate of Southwest High School in 1971, where he captained the ice hockey and cross-country teams. He went on to play hockey at Princeton University and graduated with a degree in politics in 1975. Mr. Richards worked for the Citizens League from 1978-1983. He was an employee of Medtronic for 19 years, most recently a Regional Cardiovascular Director in New Jersey. A memorial service will be held on Thurs., Jan. 24 at 3 PM at St. James Episcopal Church in Upper Montclair. A service will be held in Mpls. in February, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Montclair High School Alumni Association/The Bradley A. Richards Scholarship Fund to assist college-bound student athletes, PO Box 43549, Upper Montclair, NJ, 07043.

8/14/03 - Richards, Edward William, age 56, of LeSueur, MN, died Aug. 9, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he spent many hours fly fishing. Preceded in death by parents, Francis & Dorothy. Survived by daughter, Vanessa (Robert) Auth; 2 granddaughters, 2 sisters, and companion, Linda Eischens. 8/1/02 - Richards, John Michael, 59, of Big Lake, MN, on Monday, July 29, 2002, of cancer. Preceded in death by father, John W. and mother, Marian. Survived by wife, Ann; son, Jess (Erin) of Seattle; brothers, Jay of Bloomington and Jeff (Nancy) of Wichita; many nieces & nephews, and extended family members. Graduate of Bloomington High, John was known by many as John Richards Book Trader. Over the years, he developed and operated a used book business. He was totally immersed in the world of books: reading, writing, selling and trading. He was well-read on a wide variety of topics, was a skilled critical thinker, and a keen observer of the world. He enjoyed well-written books and the people who read them. Special thanks to Fairview Hospice and the caring staff at Trevilla of Robbinsdale. A private memorial service will be held. Per John's request, his body was bequeathed to the University of MN.

7/27/03 - Richards, Ron, age 49, of Crystal, passed away on July 24, 2003 after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He was a longtime Floor Supervisor for Mystic Lake Casino. He is preceded in death by parents, Grant & Lorraine; and brother, Gary. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Leann; daughters, Kimberly and Kristina "Nicci"; nephew, Erik (Jessica); niece, Wendy (Ed) Stark; many other relatives and friends.
