John WHITEHEAD of 24 St Andrew Avenue, Ashton on Ribble, Near Preston, Lancashire. Retired Mariner.
Walter John WINN of 88 Peelhouse Lane, Widnes, Lancashire. Assistant Insurance Superintendent
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1870 in which a 999 year lease was given on a plot of land in Widnes. This plot came into the hands of John Whitehead in 1905. In May 1905 he mortgaged it to Thomas Richardson for £500. By that time the plot had 6 houses on it, numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 Eric Street.
Thomas Richardson died in 1908 and the mortgage was assigned to John Richardson in 1910.
In 1916 the residue of the lease on number 12 Eric Street was acquired by Walter Winn and he is now also buying number 10.
