Do you have RICHARDSON ancestors and you're not sure where they're from, but really want to find out? Participate in DNA and find out more about your family's origins. FamilyTree DNA is the best company doing DNA testing, in my opinion and that of many of my fellow researchers and cousins. Have a male RICHARDSON in your line take the Y-DNA test at the highest level you can do -- 37 markers, 67 markers, 111 markers -- or start at a basic level and upgrade later.
DNA can give you fascinating discoveries and reveal many more family branches. The more participants in DNA, the more extensive and helpful the results will be for all of us.
My direct ancestor was Andrew Heizer/Heiser RICHARDSON (born 1759 - died 1817 Craven Co., NC) who married Elizabeth McCOY (born about 1764 - died 1842 Craven Co., NC). Andrew's father was Richard RICHARDSON, and Elizabeth's father was William McCOY. There are hundreds of lines branching out from these patriarchs and their siblings.
Since GenForum is going to a "Read Only" format, you're welcome to contact me directly if you'd like to trade information on the Richardsons or McCoys, or have questions about DNA testing in general.
On another GenForum note, the notifications for responses to posts have been glitched for several years, and if you replied to one of my posts on this forum or another GenForum, I may never have received a notice of your message. Write me directly and I'll help wherever possible.
Good luck with your research in all your family lines, Annie Crenshaw firstname.lastname@example.org
