Riddlemoser - Stillinger - Baltimore Md.
We are researching our Stillinger families or York, Franklin, Adams counties of PA, and Baltimore.
Michael Stillinger 1799-1870 was a business merchant partner with a Michal Riddlemoser in Baltimore.
This same Michael Stillinger was an executor of a Riddlemoser estate.
Rev. James A. Stillinger, a Catholic priest, was a brother of this Michael Stillinger, and had business dealings with the Riddlemoser business. Some of this involved the supply of candles church wie, and church goods.
In old letters and records of Michael stillinger and his brother Rev. James (Jacob) Stillinger there is found the mention of the Riddlemoser, Diffendahl, Gross and other family names.
Michael and James (Jacob) Stillinger were sons of Jocob Stillinger, and Christina Labeau (LaBough) who were amrried in baltimore in 1797. (First Meth- Episcopal church.
We are searching for siblings of Michael and James, for which we know there both brothers and sisters, but we do not know the names.
As the Sr. Jacob Stillinger is believed to have been previously married there are probably 1/2 brothers and sisters.
Some time ago, we saw some information on some postings about the estate of Riddlesmoser, which mentioned names of heirs. Cannot find this information now.
We would like to learn the names on this will, as there is a possibility our Stillinger may be related to some of these people, or that a daughter may have married tot hese families.
Would appreciate any help from anyoe who has this riddlemoser or diffendahl information.
