Ridgeway/Ridgway DNA Project is up
The Y-DNA project I said I was going to start earlier is now up.It is for men who have Ridgeway/Ridgway or a variant as their surname. Here's where it is:
http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Ridgeway/Ridgwayhttp://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Ridgeway/Ridgway
Although the website is hosted by FTDNA (who performed my 67-marker analysis), you can use the results from any lab of your choice and still participate in the project.
The usefulness of this project will depend on people's participation.(There are over 300 participants in the Parker Y-DNA project that I belong to [I'm P192].)I hope that some descendants of the Ridgeways/Ridgways who were in Tennessee and Limestone County, Alabama, before 1830 will join, because I think I'm related to them, but can't prove it, yet.
If you are a male Ridgeway, or are related to a male Ridgeway, I hope you will join, or persuade your male Ridgeway relative to join, this project.
Thanks,
Ronald Parker
