Help! Are you missing a James? I have one!
Help!I have a James Ridgway.Is anyone missing one?If you have a James Ridgway and do not know what happened to him, please let me know.I have one.He must have been an orphan.He does not seem to know anything about his parents.He has never listed them on census records, but he was born in Vermillion Co., IN in 1829. In the Aug. 1850 Vermillion Co.,Vermillion Twp., IN.James R. Ridgway is found living with Thomas W. Leonard, a Carpenter, age 35, from KY, Eliza, age 32, From KY, John Reid, age 7, from OH, James B. age 5, from Indiana, Frances age 1, Indiana, Samuel B. Evans, age 14, from Ohio. James' age is listed as 21, from Indiana and occupation, Carpenter. He married ElIZABETH R. OLDRIDGE/Aldridge August 05, 1850 and is listed in Indiana marriages. They had the following children: (Frances) Frank Pierce Ridgway born March 31, 1850 to October 02, 1910, Jim Ridgway, February 22, 1853 to March 20, 1855, Edward G. Ridgway, March 19, 1856 to January 11, 1923, Charles C. Ridgway, July 16, 1858 to March 03, 1881, James Buchannan Ridgway, June 18, 1860 to May 14, 1940, Harry F. Ridgway, August 04, 1862 (married Anna Freeland) , William (Willie) Robert Ridgway, November 20, 1864 to April 12, 1898, Henry Melvin Ridgway, January 12, 1867 to May 05, 1917 , Mary E. Ridgway, September 20, 1868 to 1965, Lulu T. Ridgway, May 25, 1871....Do any of these names sound familiar?Sometimes the census taker spelled the name with an "e" but we do not.If you have a missing James..PLEASE HELP!
