I have been trying to find where the Ridlin name originated. I have a marriage certificate from the Decatur Circuit Court
tomb and signed by Henry H. Talbott,Clerk
of the Circuit Court issued to Mr. Samuel
B.Todd and Miss Ruth Ridlin and affixed the
seal of the court in Greensburgh, Jasper
County, Indiana on the 25th day of August,
1846.

Under his signature is written:
"And afterward on the 9th day of September
in the year 1846, The following certificate
of the marriage of the above parties was
filed in the Clerks office of Decatur
Circuit Court Tomb, State of Indiana,
Decatur County.

"I, a preacher of the Regular Baptist Church,
hereby certify that on the 27th day of
August, 1846, Samuel B. Todd and Ruth Ridlin,
were joined together as husband and wife.
