Re: John Ringo/Virginia/Georgia

Joe, John Ringo was the 5th son of Henry and Margaret Ringo. His line of the Ringo Family History is in Volume VI. John & Mary Ringo had 6 children. John and Mary were married in 1781 probably in Prince William County, Va. They apprently moved to the Carolinas between 1784 and 1794. in 1794 They were in Wilkes and Oglethorpe Co's, Ga were they were in the cotton farming business. There is no clear indicatation of what became of John Ringo after 1811. Two of his sons were in Rutherford Co,TE when they enlisted in the Army during the War of 1812. By 1814 thery were in Madison Co, MIssissippi Territory (later Alabama) John Ringo died before 1830 and Mary died some time between 1807 and 1810.
