Hi cousin Jim!
Great to hear from you.
As for a follow up on my dad, Basil Naman Ringo, he had three sons and one daughter. He married Essie Myrle (sp?) Holley in 1955. Their children (in birth order) are:
Daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ringo, born in February 1956 now married to Brian Barker. They had two sons and one daughter.
Basil David Ringo, born September 1957,(now deceased - died 1988), married Kathy (could be spelled with a "C") ????. They had a son, Damien Michael Ringo, born in October 1976. He (Michael) has a son named Jared Basil Ringo, born in 2001 and two (or three?) daughters. Jared is the last living male relative in our line to date.
Me, John Stephen Ringo, born Oct 11, 1959 (still kickin'!), married twice (first wife, Doris Laverne Helton; second and current wife, Melody Ruth Merriam). Melody and I were high school sweethearts who re-united later in life. We married in February 1999. We have no children together. I had one daughter with my first wife, Leslie Michelle Ringo born July 1, 1978.
Samuel Doctorian Ringo, (living), born in February 1962,briefly married and divorced, now single, no children.
All four of my dad's kids were born in Houston,Texas. Most of us still live in the greater Houston area, including our mother Essie, who is still living.
Additional details on family members listed above can be provided upon request.
I hope you find this information helpful. My wife and I have just recently become interested in our family histories and are very interested in gathering as much genealogy information as possible on our families as a legacy for our kids and grandkids.
Thanks for all of the work you have done on the Ringo family history. We are planning a trip to the Houston Public library to peruse the fourteen volume set that is housed there. (We live in Galveston County, Texas, so it won't be a long trip.)
If you hear of, or know of any way that we can purchase a set of the Ringo family history volumes,(or any part thereof) please let me know.
Thanks alot, 'cuz!
John Ringo
