Ritchie's in Ark/Miss

By allison hutson August 06, 2004 at 09:49:32

Looking for info on a family of Ritchie's that were staying with a Wiley Flanery and his family in 1880 in Calhoun Co, Ark. I believe that his wife Mary is a Ritchie since the Ritchies in his house are listed as in-law's..The Ritchie's that are listed are Martha-55, Callie-27, Cornelia25, James20, Henry-11, Theodocia-4, and Callie-10m...Theodocia is my g-g-granmother and her mother is Cornelia/Carmelia...am thinking that Carmelia was married into the Ritchie family and that her husband died before the 1880 census was taken..according to the census, all the Ritchie's listed were born in Miss...am thinking that Martha is Cornelia's mother-in-law...Eventually Cornelia/Carmelia married a Nutt between 1881-1883 and had a son named William E Nutt..she is listed as living with him and his family on the 1920 census.....any and all info and help appreciated...thank you
