Jerry, Thanks for all your follow-ups/responses.You prob have so much more info on the Rittenberry family, being a Rittenberry, than I can even imagine. I'll be glad to share with you, and other Rittenberry researchers, all that I have copied from 1880 & 1900 TN Soundexes for Rittenberry's of middle co.s of TN, which I must admit isn't much. I would need name of head of fam, who had ch under 10, or name of ch who was prob living at home in 1880.
I did not copy near as many from 1900 as from 1880, because I was concentrating my time & efforts to the Rittenbery's who were in Maury & Giles Co.s, since these were poss related to Joseph & Susan & their father Ranson/Ransom.
Do you have, or know of anyone who has, any info on the ch/desc's of Joseph & Josephine (Pilkinton) Rittenberry or of George & Susan (Rittenberry) Adkins? Since Josephine's mother was Nancy Adkins, and of course Susan md an Adkins, these are the two members of the Rittenberry fam that I'm most interested in, and their desc's.
Since I am not sure of these Adkins's relationship to Miss Adkins, my wife's 3rd grt, and all of my eight ch's 4th gr grandmother, some might say I am really "going out on a limb" of this family tree, so to speak, on these Adkins-Pilkinton-Rittenberry fams.Probably so, but I have spent a considerable amount of time on looking for any connections of John "old man Jackie" Adkins, & his desc's (Nancy Adkins Pilkinton & George Adkins being his ch), to our Miss Adkins, 2nd/3rd wf of John Young (said to have been a Rev Sol).
I realize that I do not have much to share with the researchers of Pilkinton, and even more so on Rittenberry fams, so thanks again, Richard.
