Seeking ancestry information on Claus RITTER, born 1840 in Otterndorf, Germany (northern Germany, located on the North Sea) and immigrated to Brooklyn, NY around 1870.

Claus married to Hermina Punke (or Punker) in Germany and had the following children: William RITTER (1868) in Germany, Herman Heinrick RITTER(1873), Augusta RITTER KROPP (1875) & Eliza RITTER(1871) all born in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, NY.
