Re: Charlotte RIVINGTON
I've made some further discoveries since posting my message. It was Harold Victor RIVINGTON who married Charlotte.I've copied an extract of the RIVINGTON tree blow. You'll see that Henry Gibson RIVINGTON was a brother of Harold who married Charlotte.
I located a descendant of Harold's and she passed me on to a descendant of Eveleen who had carried out research into the family.Neither of them are on email.I found Charlotte on the 1930 census in California and had two later addresses for her in Canada.Unfortunately the trail ended there but I'm still looking for her death, probably as Charlotte Mary Evelyn('May')HANINGTON.

You might be interested to know that she was a great granddaughter of the Missionary William KNIBB who went from England to Jamaica. He was up there with WILBERFORCE in the emancipation movement.WILBERFORCE was credited with the abolition of the slave trade on British ships but it was William KNIBB who secured freedom for all the slaves in Jamaica and the whole of the British Empire.
Charlotte was also a first cousin of Henry Herbert ASQUITH, the former British Prime Minister.
