I mentioned the name of the author of the essay which I posted. If you meant that Mittge's (the cited editor) information has not been followed with corroborating documentation, you might wish to contact him directly. The information in my post was not from my research and I made that clear. I am not responsible for his research.
A review of messages which I have posted on many boards and containing my research will reveal that I have provided documentation and, in the absence of any, also have stated that information as well. Most who review information upon message boards know that a lack of documentation or supporting evidence is a signal to be wary of the data.
The best research goes to original records and documents. This kind of research requires travel to court houses, archives, and other repositories of historical records. Some of these can be found upon internet sites. In my experience, the most difficult problems in family history research are not resolved via the internet but by those skilled investigators willing to do the leg work.
I left Robbins surname research after tracing my paternal grandmother's lineage to early North Carolina where matters were much more difficult.
Quite frankly, I was surprised by the tone of your response. There was nothing of value in it and it was merely derogatory. I had made it abundantly clear in the original post that the research was not mine. If you find nothing of value in the post, then simply disregard it. If you desire to corroborate information in it then it might serve merely as providing hypotheses to be further tested.
One must remember that prior to 1989 when Kevin was engaged in Robbins family history research, the available information was considerably less than it is some nearly 25 years later. Kevin Mittge was doing his best with the information available to him at that time. He mentioned some of his sources in the essay of his which I posted.
Good luck with your research.
