Ann Robertson
Hi,
I am looking for an elusive relative. My information comes from hand-written notes found at the Tennessee State Library:
Ann Robertson, whose parents are unknown, was listed on the note as being born in 1776 and died in 1862. She married William Dawson in Baltimore, Maryland on March 3, 1795. They apparently were married at the First Methodist Episcopal Church. That church must no longer exist because I can't find any information on it to obtain a copy of the marriage license. William was born 1769 and died 1852. Apparently, they left Baltimore and went to Tennessee with a son-in-law Isaac White Martin. It is said that they might have been early pioneers of Jackson, Tennessee.
The children of Ann and William are listed as:
Charlotte born 1806 and who married Francis Waggner and might have had a second marriage since she was a young widow, George born 1795, Sameul born 1796, William born 1798, Mary Ann born 1801, Ann born 1803, baby born 1805, Israel born 1808, George John born 1810, Jane born 1813, Elizabeth Robertson, born 1816, Joseph born 1818, and Mary Mifling born 1820.
I have been discouraged in researching this family because I have never been able to come up with any further information.
Anything someone might have that might be helpful information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Polly
