Re: Drury Robertson-Bill's Creek Area-NC

It seems pretty likely that Drury Robertson (b. ca. 1813) of Bills Creek area of Rutherford Co. was elder son of John Rober(t)son (b. NC ca. 1789/90) and wife Marinda (b. NC ca. 1787/8).John was in Rutherford in 1820 and 1840, but in 1850 he and Drury are listed adjacent to one another (as "Robinson") in nearby McDowell Co.Widow Marinda or Malinda Roberson was living near Drury in Rutherford in 1870.

John Roberson was perhaps a brother of Richard Roberson, b. NCca. 1797, who was living in High Shoals Dist., Rutherford in 1850 with wife Permelia.He also had a son Drury.

I haven't found a marriage record for either John or Richard, and don't know where they came from.
