I would like to add and comment on Monique Atkinson's reply
Albert Robillard is my Grand-Father's brother. My Grand-father was Joseph-Louis the 3td child of Honoré the first 3 were born in St-Emelie de l'Energie, near Joliette, QC.
Honoré and Family moved to St-Herménégilde de Barford, near Coaticook, Qc where Albert was born.
Albert mariage was a double wedding, on the 23 november 1909, in St-Hermenégilde. Albert married Clara Choiniere and Wilfrid Robillard married Clara's sister Marie-Louise.
I did not know that Albert went to Vermont, but my Grand-Father Joseph-Louis went to Vermont,My grand-father worked at the"Round house " in Island Pound Vt. This was where the engines were "turned around".. to go back. I dont know where they lived but my father was born and baptised in Lyndonville, Vt. Joseph-Louis came back to anada and settled in Sherbrooke Qc where I was born.
I remember seeying the round house in Island Pound right next to the wooden crooked bridge(as we called it). this is because you go up the ramp, then turn left to go across the bridge. It used to scare the s....t out of us when we were young. Now it's all gone (bridge and round house)
I would be interrested to find out who is your friend and what is the family link because we are certainly close cousins.
Regards,
Yvan Robillard
