I am looking for information on the parents and ancestors of Col Thomas Robbins/Robins (b 1740 - abt 1786).It is believed he was living in St Georges Parish, Georgia in 1769.He married Sarah Harnage in Effingham, Georgia. My uncle said he had read that Thomas’ father was named Arthur Robins. ….that information came from a book he read. That is not documented.During the Revolutionary War, theymoved temporarily to South Carolina..Reportedly, Col Thomas Robins was killed in the Revolutionary War.
Thomas Robbins and Sarah had a son named Elijah Robbins…Elijah had a son named Elijah King Robbins. The Elijah Robbins family moved to Alabama in 1821.I come from that lineage. My grandfather was Edward Walker Robbins, the son of Elijah King Robbins….by a second marriage
This Arthur Robins links back several generations to Obedience Robins.I just am not sure if Col Thomas Robbins falls in that line.I would appreciate some assistance finding the ancestors of Thomas Robins.
