Rodbourns & Rodburns of Shrivenham, Faringdon, Berkshire, England
My family line takes me back to the village of Bourton, Shrivenham in Berkshire. The name Faringdon also appears on some docs as this was a new Registration disctrict created in 1837 including parts of Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire as well as Berkshire.
I have information on the Rodbourns (various spellings) of Shrivenham which I would be happy to share and delighted to add to.A very kind researcher who has no connection to the Rodbourn family, transcribed the Rodbourn entries from the 1851 census and Shrivenham Baptisms 1763 onwards and sent them to me.She copied them from Microfiche transcriptions that came from the Oxfordshire Family History Society.
From this information, plus bits and pieces from the IGI, FreeBMD etc, I've put together some speculative family trees, but without the marriage records, I've had to make some deductions.I would be happy to share this info, with sources and notes explaining which relationships are certain and which are deductions.I would also be very interested in any info you may have, especially of marriages in the area.
So far I'm the only one to post to this message board and the info I have about my own line is included in my previous postings about Mark, Edwin and Thomas Rodbourn.Looking forward to finding connections with other Rodbourn descendants.
