Archellus Roddenberry and Susan Walker married in Thomas County, Georgia, on 30 Aug. 1865.In the 1870 census, they are listed in Jefferson County, Florida.No children are listed with them.In the next householdis Nancy Walker with two children.Nancy was the widow of Freeman Walker, half-brother to Susan.In 1880, Arch and Susan are still in Jefferson County and two daughters are listed:Petronia and Susan.It should be noted that the most common spelling for the eldest is Petronah and the youngest appears in other records as Annie Belle.Susan Roddenberry received letters of guardianship on the persons and estates of Petronia and Anna Bell on 23 Nov. 1887.Arch must have died somewhere close to this date.(see Will Book C, Page 106, Jefferson Co., Florida).

Anna Belle Roddenberry married Lewis T. Monfort, the place and date of that marriage is not known to this researcher.In 1900, they were enumerated in Russell County, Alabama.They had been married 8 years.Anna Belle is listed as mother of three born, two living.The two children were Charlotte Susan R. and Wesley Wadkins, 6 and 1 respectively.
In 1910, Petronah and family were in Early County, Georgia.She is listed as mother of 6 born, four living.William A. is still at home and a John T. is listed, 17 and 8, respectively.
Anna Belle is listed with her family in Randolph County, Georgia, in1910.She is recorded as the mother of five born, 4 living.Wesley W., Lee M.; Horrace, and Lewis A. are the children with them.
John and Petronah are in Randolph County in 1920 with three sons:John, Bennie, and Archelus.They are back in Marion County in 1930 and Archie is the only child listed with them.
According to the Georgia Death Index, John Monfort died 18 May 1952 and Petronah died 30 July 1950, in Calhoun County, Georgia.They are buried at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church.The stones show J. T.'s birth as 3-29-1864 and his wife's as 12-8-1872.A Ludie Monfort born in 1908 and dying less than a year later is also buried there.In the same county at Oak Grove Cemetery the following are found:Lee Morgan Monfort b.8-26-02d. 11-5-1950.Wiley W. Monfort 10-25-1898; 5-25-1956.Chapel, Ben, and Archie Monfort all died in Muscogee County, Georgia, in 1968, 1997, and 2002 respectively.Their other data can be found on the Social Security Death Index.
