H Rosegrant/Patience

By Patricia Dunford February 26, 2007 at 03:31:00

I am researching Leonard Sayers/Sayres and wife Charlotte from Saint Lawrence County, New York.

In the 1850 census of Oswegatchie, we have living with them one Patience Rosegrant, ae 72, b RI, a widow.

In the 1840 census of this county, there are three Rosegrants:
F Rosegrant has 1 male 20-30 and one female 20-30
H Rosegrant has 1 male 15-20; 1 male 20-3-; 1 male 70-80; 1 female 30-40; 1 female 60-70.
N Rosegrant has several children, is between 40-50, wife is bet 30 and 40.

It would appear that Patience would belong in the H Rosegrant family, and that by 1850, H has died, living Patience a widow.

Has anyone (since 1991) done significant research on this family, and would know if indeed Henry and Patience had a daughter Charlotte who married Leonard Sayers? Is this the same Henry and Patience who had a son Nicholas and perhaps one named Franklin?

Pat (in Tucson)
