Gen. George Rosecrans/Rosenkrantz

I am looking for any information about Gen. George Rosecrans m. Polly (Mary)?
They had no children of their own, but did have six adopted childre.4 of these children were the orphans of Elijah/Elisha Doty d. 1833 in War of 1812, and Mary Gay/Guay who died the following year.The children were quite young at the time of being orphaned. as their parents probably m. abt. 1806.
The Doty children were all born in Owego, NY.Then lived with the Rosecrans (I find a number of different spellings for the name in family writings), first in
New York State , perhaps later,Susquehenna area of Pennsylvania, and later they all moved to Ionia, Michigan wher both George and Polly are buried.
Some say either George or Polly were relatives of Elijah Doty, but no proof.
