Robert Hall married Mary Ross in Wake CO., NC on May 25, 1780. I would like some information on both of them. In particular, parents names and where in MD did Robert come from.
In 1833, Robert filed for a pension from his service in the Revolution. In those papers his wife and children are mentioned and it was also stated that he was from Maryland. What part of Maryland, I do not know yet.
I have located him on the census as follows: 1790- Halifax Co., Edgecombe Dist., NC pg. 472 A Lewis "Hail" was also noted on this record, possible relation? There was another Robert Hall listed on pg.460. 1800-Wake Co., NC, Unk. Twp. pg. 734 1810-??? 1820-Russelville Twp., Logan Co., KY Neighbors noted were, Morgan, Hendricks, Wiggins, and Betsy, Garland and David Ross. A John "Hill" was also on the same page. Were these Ross's related to Mary?
In the early 1800's he went to KY and that is where he filed for his pension. Here is an excerpt of his answers to some of the questions that were asked of him in court:
