Mrs. Emma A. Roudebush, 77, of Canton, a former Carroll County deputy auditor, died Saturday afternoon at the Crestwood convalescent home in Canton. She served in the county office here under her husband, Junius W. Roudebush, who was auditor from 1943 to 1947. Mrs. Roudebush had suffered a series of strokes since last December.
Born September 28, 1884, in Center Twp., she was a daughter of the late David and Sina (Shepherd) Blazer.
During the first 62 years of her life Mrs. Roudebush had lived in and near Carrollton. She had been a Canton resident the last 15 years. Mrs. Roudebush was a member of Canton First Christian Church, Dorcas Missionary Society of the church, WCTU and Rebekah Lodge of Carrollton. She and Mr. Roudebush were married May 27, 1911.
Surviving are her husband; a son, H. Rex Roudebush of Canton, and three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Lawrence of Rt. 4, Carrollton, Miss Verna Blazer and Mrs. Luther Hall, both of Carrollton. A son, a brother, James Blazer, and a sister, Mrs. Olive Stookesberry, are deceased. Services were Tuesday at the Allmon Funeral Home here with Rev. Harold Davis of the Canton church officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery, Carrollton.
