ROWLEYS FROM CONNECTICUT AND WINNIPEG
My name is Daniel. I have a great grandmother who's name was Ida Claire Rowley. She was born in Brighton, Ontario, Canada March 13, 1874. She died November 10, 1978 at Geneva, New York, U.S.. Her parents were Warren D. Rowley and Lorenna Lapp. She married George F. Arthur. They had one child, Charles Lewis Arthur. She had as far as I know a few brothers. Hiram, Frank, William and Charles. Three sisters: Christa, Harriet, Mary and Hattie who was married a Jackson. She had an uncle Amos Rowley, She had a niece named Margaret "Peg" who I assume was a Rowley married name Booth. Her daughter Anne Booth of Thunder Bay at the time of my birth in 1957, was my godmother. I have a LOT of pictures with names of these people on them. I would appreciate any info on this family that you might have from Canada or Connecticut, and would be more than glad to share all I have with anyone named Rowley. Especially if they are from Canada or Connecticut. Most of the relatives that I know of are from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Brighton, Ontario, Canada. I even have a number of addresses for Ida C (Rowley) Arthur when she lived there while married to George F. Arthur who worked for the Canadian Railroad and The Free Press in Winnipeg. Udate: I have since found that my great grandmothers father, Warren Sr, was born in Connecticut. as was her brother Warren. He was the oldest of her siblings I think.
Thank you for your time.
