Miss Mary Hicks, Thank you so ever much for your response. I've hada message posted for quite some time on the Russom family genealogy forum with no responses. Also, I've been able to contact a Lady who did a whole lot of leg work for the Shirley side of my family and have found out a lot of valuable information.I do not know who the parents of William B. Russom were. According to the archive records of Franklin Co. he was born 6/5/1830 and died 6/12/1902 and is buried at the Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville, Georgia, of which, according to records, he was a charter member on the 9th day of September,1886. He married Mary Ann Phillips in December,1852 in Hart Co.Georgia. She was born 4/28 1836 and died 1914. I did not see her grave where her husband is buried. Odd.Also included were these members of his family- his wife Mary A.(Polly)Jesse Mallory Russom,Martha O. Russom. I have been to William B.'s gravsite, had my picture taken by the tombstone, did an etching of the tombstone and, as a result of finding my ancestor, am now a proud member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was the father of John Thomas Russom(11/29/1866-4/21/1936) who was the father of Oma Curtis Russom(5/4/!904-1/21/1971) who was the father of Nina Frances Russom Shirley (2/26/1932-12/30/1997), my mother. At this time of the evening I really don't know what else to add. If you have any more questions, just ask. Then it will be my turn.Thank you again. I am very grateful. Jimmy L. Shirley Jr.
