Theresa Sanger, 1814, New Orleans

I am looking for information about Theresa Sanger Hess. She was Jewish,born abt 1814 in Alsace-Lorraine? (she was French speaking) and died in New Orleans (or possibly San Francisco) about 1849. I can find no evidence of her death or burial. She was married to Levi Hess about 1833. and had the following children: Louis, Uri, Joseph Levi, Pauline, Melanie, Sarah, Bertha, Henry. Levi and children moved to San Francisco about 1850 and she did not go with them. He married Ricka Wertheimer in San Francisco and was buried at the Home of Peace Cemetery in Colma, CA.

I know nothing about the Sangers, and wonder if Theresa is related to the Sanger Brothers of Texas.

Any information would be appreciated.
