Hi Molly! It was so great to get your message in response to my post regarding Micajah, Jr. & family! I am very new to this geneaology researching & such! I started it in search of a Civil War soldier to join the UDC! I got lucky & found 1 in my great great grandfather Jacob Newton Bearden. This is what got me searching the Sansom & Vann Lines. Jacob's wife was Lucy Sansom. I also live in Whitfield County. I am currently working on John Sansom's papers for a UDC supplement. Then I'm going to work on Emma's papers but in order to do hers, I must have more information on Micajah to prove that she & John are brother & sister. I also have to prove that John is Lucy's father. As you know it is so hard to prove all this stuff since the records for the time period are so scarce! I would love to share some of the information you have on my descendants! I love finding out more about my family tree! I have about 12 lines I am currently working on but I'm trying to get these two ready to send in as soon as I get my initial papers approved thru Richmond. They have been approved in Georgia & I'm awaiting the approval from Richmond any day now! Basically, all I need to finish John's papers are some sort of proof of marriage for Micajah & Permeliaplus a newspaper death record on them all. I've already proven thru Lucy so I need to now prove that John is her father & his marriage record & his & his wife's death record.
I hope I haven't been too confusing? I'm also working on the Chappell line. I don't have hardly anything on them? So I'm basically starting at square 1. As you can imagine, this all seems so confusing at times as it is so much information in a small amount of time! It isvery over whelming but I'm so excited to learn as much as I can! I look forward to talking to you soon! I thinkyou can help me tremendously! Thanks again for answering my post! Please be patient with me if I seem to be going in circles.... It is very new like I said & I'm trying to grasp it all! :) I would gladly supply my phone number if you would like to chat in person regarding our "family"!
