Include as much information as you can about the individuals you are looking for.A name without a general time period or at least a general location, may be too general to elicit a response, but if you can say for instance "searching for an Antonio de los Santos born abt. the late 1800's who lived in Monterrey in the 1920's" that is specific enough for other researchers to check their records if they have other individuals with that same last name in that time period or location.
