Thank you Penny for informing me of my great-grand-mother Langlais' cousins' DNA test match. Even if they only tested 12 markers, the fact that they match 12/12, I assume their haplogroups were also identical, is clearly proving they are descended from Digory Sargent since the Langlais history/genealogy is a direct lineage to Digory. Had there been no link between them, then a 67 marker test would be mandatory with an identical haplogroup. And now there is a new Family Finder test (autosomal) which can determine if they are 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc cousins. I looked up the Sargent page on FTDNA and couldn't identify your uncle nor the Langlais who tested from the other Sargents. Would you be so kind as to tell me what their kit numbers are please?
