Biagio SAVINI (b. 1885/6, Italy) to America in 1910
The SSDI shows that this John SAVINI was born 11 Oct 1917 and died in Nov 1980.His birthplace was Boston, MA, and his place of death was Spokane, WA.John's second wife was named Joyce, and they had four children (two boys and two girls).
I believe I may have found John SAVINI's parents. We know that John was born in 1917, so he should be in the 1920 census with his parents. Fortunately, SAVINI is a rare surname; and, fortunately, the 1920 census *with index* is online at Ancestry.com.Turns out there is only one SAVINI in Massachusetts in 1920, and they have a son, Giovanni (Italian for John), the right age to be our subject. Here is the record:
Main Street, Hanover Town, Plymouth Co., MA, p. 74B, SN 5B, SD 8, ED 109, 121/133

The years for Biagio and Elisa are when they arrived in America; neither had yet become a citizen. The 1910 and 1930 censuses (page images) are available online, but the indices are not remotely complete.
Alba is a female name (Italian for "dawn"), so I don't know whether the enumerator made a mistake with regard to the name or to the gender of the first child.
Seeking any additional information on this family and anyone else related to this family. My connection is by marriage, not blood (my mother's sister was John SAVINI's first wife).
