ANTHONY SAVINO b. Irsino, Potensa Italy 1897
I am searching for ANTHONY SAVINO, b. March 27, 1897, in Irsino, Potenza or Potensa Italy. He came to America and lived in Chicago, Il. His wife's name was "Winnie" (might have been nee Colasuonno, d/o Guy & Rose Colasuonno.)
He appears in the 1930 census:
Anthony Savino age 33
Winnie 23
Joseph 6
Lucille 4
Guy Colasuonno 60
Rose Colasuonno 60
His address in Chicago was 1409 W. Ohio St., Chicago; his Mother's name was LUCY, at same address.
Anthony was listed as the emergency address for a WWI Soldier named NICHOLAS ARPAIA, who was also born in Irsino and was killed in the War and is buried in Flanders Field in Belgium.
I think Nicholas and Anthony might have been related as well. There is also a PETER ARPAIA who lived at the same address as a PAUL COLOSUONNO. Please help if you can; we are trying to find relatives of this Nicholas Arpaia and any information on relatives will be published in a book which is being written in Tribute to the American Soldiers buried in Flanders Field.
Thanks so much, anyone@
