Sorry I am late in responding to your query. I recently noticed in the book, "The Brazos County, Texas Cemeteries," there is a listing for A. R. SCALLORN, no birth date listed, but death date is 22 Sep 1871, age 57y 4m 3d, Oddfellow, buried at Bryan City Cemetery.Hope this helps also.
